All the best,

Dr. Masten

Because of some of the preliminary results discussed on Tuesday I did an experiment to determine the variability in measuring with a tablespoon.  I have three different tablespoons shown below.

Yesterday's little experiment.
I measured a tablespoon of salt with three three different measuring spoons. Each tablespoon was assessed 3 times.
A. (maroon) 21.5, 21.5, 21.5 g
B. (orange) 19.5, 19.5, 19.5 g
C. (silver) 15.5, 17.0, 15.0 g

I repeated it today again using salt:
A. (maroon) 20.5 21.5 19.5 g
B. (orange) 19.5 20.0 19.5 g
C. (silver) 15.5 15.5 16.0 g

Then I repeated it with water:
A. (maroon) 14.0 11.0 14.0 g
B. (orange) 13.0 14.0 12.5 g
C. (silver) 9.5 10.5 9.5 g
