Happy Friday!

I shared this photo with my ENE 483 class. I thought I would share it with all of you.  I know that life feels really hard right now - but remember, this to will end. In a few weeks, the semester will be over, the exam that you have been stressing over, will be done, the chapter finished, and the book closed. In the end, it won't seem to matter.

But what matters most is your health and well-being.  As such, I am going to try something I haven't done before and that is to set a 3-day grace period for both Assignment 3 in ENE 480 and MiniDesign 2 in ENE 483. The due dates won't officially change, but if you need extra time, you can have an additional 72 hrs, no questions asked. If you need more, just let me know.

So here are the due dates:

  • ENE 480 Assignment 3: Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11:59 pm (grace period ends Nov. 8 at 11:59 pm)
  • ENE 483 MiniDesign 2: Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2020 at 11:59 pm (grace period ends Nov. 7 at 11:59 pm).

I hope this alleviates some of the stress.

This week I will lecture on Total Maximum Daily Load evaluation monitoring.  The lecture is on LON-CAPA, along with Assignment 4 and a number of resources.   Assignment 4 will be completed individually.

Next week, I will discuss the Soil pH and conductivity lab along with issues related to determining service line materials. This will be the last lab experiment, where you are given a detailed set of instructions.

The remainder of the semester will be focused on the Project. You will pick from a list of objectives and will work in your teams to design and conduct an experiment to address the objective.
